Leptin - Slimming hormone?

Adipose tissue is responsible for the synthesis of leptin, a hormone that participates in the inhibition of hunger via the hypothalamus. Excess weight in obesity increases the hormonal synthesis of adipocytes and, consequently, plasma leptin levels.
